Europe's biggest event to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency: EU Sustainable Energy Week

EU Sustainable Energy WeekEurope's leading event on sustainable energy is a European Commission initiative which invites public, private and academic institutions to engage in helping to meet the EU's energy and climate goals. The Sustainable Energy Week highlights the use of sustainable resources, how to ensure a clean environment, how to secure energy sources and how to reduce energy waste.

In order to promote energy efficiency and renewable energies and to share best practices, not-for-profit events will be organized as Energy Days in Brussels, throughout Europe and worldwide. In 2014 Energy Days can be organized during the entire month of June.

 

In cooperation with the Research and Transfer Centre "Applications of Life Sciences" of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences PLEEC project will organize an own Energy Day: In form of the lecture event 'Planning for Energy Efficient Cities – Best practices from International Research Projects' (18 june 2014, Wälderhaus Hamburg, Germany) current research results from various international research projects dealing with energy efficiency and strategies how to increase energy efficiency will be presented.
